Donna Murray-Brown is a nationally recognized nonprofit and philanthropic leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing organizational strategy, leadership, and social impact across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and financial sectors. She currently serves as President and CEO of Inforum, where she leads the organization’s mission to accelerate women’s leadership by supporting women at every stage of their careers and partnering with companies that understand women are integral to organizational performance, innovation, and long-term success.

Most recently, Donna served as the inaugural Vice President of Strategy and Development at the National Council of Nonprofits, where she led national initiatives to strengthen nonprofit capacity, influence, and sustainability. Her work focused on strategic alignment, sector-wide partnerships, and advancing leadership practices that support resilient and effective nonprofit organizations.

From 2013 to 2022, Donna served as President and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association, leading statewide efforts that strengthened the nonprofit ecosystem, including Michigan’s Census 2020 complete count strategy, COVID-19 response initiatives, and leadership and advocacy efforts that supported thousands of nonprofits across the state. Earlier in her career, Donna spent more than two decades in financial services, including serving as Vice President and Community Reinvestment Act Director for Charter One Bank, where she led community development and investment strategies.

Donna’s leadership has earned national recognition, including being named twice to The NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 list and receiving Crain’s Detroit Business Most Influential Women in Michigan honor. She is frequently sought out as an advisor on executive leadership, governance, organizational strategy, and leadership transitions.

She currently serves on several boards and advisory councils, including Candid, the McGregor Fund, Housing Partnership, Inc., the Speed Art Museum, and the Leadership Council for the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy.

Donna holds a master’s degree in Community Development from the University of Detroit Mercy and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central State University. She has also completed executive education at Boston College and Harvard Business School.
