As nonprofits and funders navigate an increasingly complex and resource-constrained environment, this flagship product gives funders the context they need to make better-informed decisions that enable nonprofits to do their work. Marking the culmination of the 2019 merger that created Candid, the new product seamlessly integrates data from GuideStar and Foundation Directory. With a single login and vastly improved user experience, Candid search makes it easier for funders to research nonprofits to support and faster for fundraisers to find grants.

Launch of Candid search unifies nonprofit and funder data in one place, enabling faster and more meaningful connections

Candid announced today that it has launched a product integration with Claude, the AI assistant developed by Anthropic, bringing Candid&#8217;s trusted nonprofit and foundation data directly to Claude users. As a partner in Anthropic&#8217;s Claude for Nonprofits initiative—a new program designed to help nonprofits work more efficiently through AI—Candid has developed a secure Model Context Protocol connector to securely provide comprehensive sector information through Claude. The integration simplifies research and saves time by making critical data available in the AI tool organizations already use for their daily work.

Candid partners with Anthropic to bring trusted data to Claude for Nonprofits

New York, NY—August 7, 2025. Candid today released its 2025 Nonprofit Compensation Report, the most comprehensive large-scale study of executive compensation in the social sector. Now in its 25th edition, the report draws exclusively from IRS Forms 990 and 990-EZ, analyzing 217,556 compensation records from 130,794 tax-exempt organizations for fiscal year 2023. 
 The data provides a detailed view of compensation trends across the sector, revealing consistent patterns based on organization size, location, and mission area, along with persistent gender disparities in executive pay. 
 Key findings from the 2025 Nonprofit Compensation Report include:

In 2023, the District of Columbia reported the highest median executive pay at $189,088, followed by states in the Northeast. At the other end of the spectrum, Puerto Rico reported the lowest overall median at $73,600. Among U.S. states, Wyoming had the lowest median at $85,517.</li>
